Official Video Trailer by friendly permission of The Crash Reel Team - Coming to theaters in the U.S. and Canada December 13, 2013.
The Crash Reel follows the rise and fall of Kevin Pearce's snowboarding career and exposes the irresistible, yet potentially fatal, appeal of extreme sports. At his athletic peak, Kevin was known as "the man who could beat Shaun White" in the 2010 Olympics. But his path changed drastically after a training accident in Park City, Utah that left him in a coma with a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). As he struggles with his "new normal", Kevin finds new successes in life and devotes himself to raising awareness of "invisible injuries", which are so pervasive in extreme sports today. Stunning action footage shows the drama and the fearlessness behind every trick in intimate detail, making it impossible to ignore the danger that is inherent in these defying moves.
THE MISSION: This Winter, The Crash Reel is opening in theaters in the U.S. and Canada and we would love your support. Together with Kevin Pearce and his family, The Crash Reel can galvanize athletes, parents, and everyone in between behind the message of #loveyourbrain. With the support of high performing athletes combined with a highly emotional and yet inspiring story, The Crash Reel has the potential to change attitudes about helmets, brain injuries, and safety in the world of extreme sports.
