The Bataleon board and Beyond Medals clothing brands share their rider Tor Lundstrom and it’s a great collaboration coming out this year with this Bataleon Beyond Medals, no less! Tor is one of the co-founders of Beyond Medals with Kevin Backstrom, they produce backcountry freestyle videos every year at an incredible and very stylish level, this was the case last winter with the Bahamas video and there is no doubt that it will be the case with that of this winter, the Casino. Let's come back to this collab board. We recommend it to freestylers at heart who are looking for a handy and lively snowboard, compact underfoot, for riding in powder and wanting to jump everywhere with a modern approach to backcountry freestyle. However, we find its program a little specific because with its intermediate or rather flexible flex, it is not the most precise on hard ground and bumpier, less predictable terrain. Certainly the grip is good, but you may tend to have to press hard on the edge to hold the curve, in the end it is more a question of habit than a defect. We keep the famous characteristics of the Bataleon, with great maneuverability, a good dose of tolerance and ease of pivoting in the pow. For the biggest powder days to trace everything or ensure your jump tackles, 2 inserts at the rear are available to shift your bindings a little more towards the tail. Stability level is effective in most situations but it tends to get a little complicated in 4x4 terrain.
