At this price, you will have maximum sobriety in terms of decoration, black and black. The Soulmate is definitely a board that is designed and wants to go fast, very fast, and which was unanimously praised for its great stability. We are there to look far ahead without worrying too much about what is happening under the feet, the feeling is firm, balanced, precise and without vibration. For example, we recommend this board as an ideal machine, first thing in the morning on freshly groomed slopes, very wide for endless turns and at mach 2, but we also think, for example, that it would make a great playmate. during a day off-piste in very cold traffic. On the powder side, it is perfect for large, open, predictable lines, with terrain that is not too brittle. Once again this Amplid Soulmate is there to trace quickly and far, to split the snow lengthwise, less perhaps to knit here and there. In small turn mode, small curves, despite its small curve radius, it disconcerted us a little, it certainly takes a little more time than our tests allow to get used to it. But if you love slaloming between tight fir trees, using all the small reliefs even with odd and steep shapes, it does not seem to be the ideal partner for this program. The Soulmate is therefore a somewhat specific board but which does the job surprisingly well for an all mountain program very oriented towards freeride and carving large curves. It's a comfortable board, not too physical in big curves, a little more if you're looking for torsional deformation. On the shape side, we are on a directional one, with classic camber and a little rocker before the nose, a little wider (1 cm) in nose than in size. Be careful not to take it too big, you could even consider taking it a little smaller than your usual size, especially if you are neither strong nor very athletic.
