From Renntiger to Racetiger, from one generation to the next. During the development phase of the new Racetiger SL R Jr, the Völkl research and development team collaborated with Giorgio Rocca and Manfred Pranger, having young boys and girls from different ski clubs and sons tested each length of ski and daughter of these two ski legends. The sons Francesco and Giacomo of Giorgio Rocca, and the son Mario and daughter Laura of Manfred Pranger, are all young, enthusiastic and talented competitive skiers, and their opinions, combined with the skills of their fathers, contributed significantly to the new construction of the Racetiger SL R Jr. Therefore, even if the construction of all lengths is essentially the same, the individual proportions of each of the layers and materials vary according to the length. The flexible torsional point attenuates the torsion of the external point by around 60%. The result is that the tip of the ski reacts very precisely and directly, the initiation of turns is much easier and the youngsters have to apply less power throughout the turn. The new series also has a new competition interface with a central joint, which creates a much more harmonious curve. The new drilling template allows a more direct power transmission on the edges and the X-Comp fixing can be mounted with only 3 screws and no longer with 4. In this way, the sliding is more forgiving and fluid.
