Designed for all-mountain touring, the Atomic Backland 95 is a versatile ski that strikes the perfect balance between lightweight, climbing efficiency, and underfoot stability for eye-catching lines on the piste. A reinterpretation of the original Backland, the new construction uses more poplar, less fiberglass and resin, and waste-reducing sidewalls to significantly reduce CO2 equivalent emissions from materials by 30% (vs. Backland 85, 2021). Its all-mountain profile uses a natural wood-to-fiberglass ratio to alter the ski’s thickness curve and add torsional stiffness, for improved climbing and optimized downhill performance on harder snow. The HRZN 3D is a unique, three-dimensional, tapered tip that delivers a lighter ski in powder and increased maneuverability in variable snow conditions.
