Resulting from a scientific life cycle assessment, the use of poplar, less fiberglass and resin, and waste-reducing sidewalls significantly reduces CO2 equivalent emissions from materials by 30% (vs. Backland 85, 2021). The HRZN 3D increases the surface area for a lighter ski in powder and greater maneuverability in variable conditions. Its all-mountain profile uses a natural wood-to-fiberglass ratio to create a ski shape that improves climbing and optimizes downhill performance. The Carbon Backbone reinforcement provides additional stiffness while the poplar/caruba core keeps the ski light and responsive. The all-mountain rocker and its wider 89 mm profile allow total adaptability on all types of terrain.
